Bush or no bush? What’s the consensus these days?

One of the things I have always noticed while consuming content is body hair or the lack thereof! The smooth, soft and razor bump-free skin always gives me hope that one day I will be able to achieve this look. I say this in the present tense because, much like many others, I am a chronic victim of the dreaded razor-burn monster. I have tried and tested so many methods for hair removal throughout my adult life, and I have come to the conclusion that it is just what it is! We all have different hair, we all have different amounts of hair. I know the general consensus for mainstream is “as little body hair as possible”, but that isn’t the norm in real life in my experience. That being said, everyone is different and likes different things, so let’s talk a little about both sides!

There are a million ways to remove hair if this is what you choose to do. Shaving, waxing, laser hair removal and more! If you are going for that look, remember that not only does the removal process matter, but also your skincare after! Finding which methods work for you will have your bikini ready in no time! Making sure you exfoliate prior is very important; seriously, don’t knock the benefits of a dry brush or a good body scrub. When it comes to content, there are many reasons to remove body hair! For me personally, I like to do this for a visual reason over personal preference. Little to no body hair works better with the outfits I choose or the content I make. Getting lube (or glitter or paint…*cough cough*) out of hairy places does become a little bit of a hassle! I have waxed, plucked and shaved myself down to bare skin so many times. All in all, I have landed on the fact that most of the time, being bald from the neck down is not a make or break for the masses unless you are doing something specific.

"WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT HAIR, WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT AMOUNTS OF HAIR. I KNOW THE GENERAL CONSENSUS FOR MAINSTREAM IS "AS LITTLE BODY HAIR AS POSSIBLE", BUT THAT ISN'T THE NORM IN REAL LIFE IN MY EXPERIENCE."

Now, on the contrary, having body hair is also awesome to have! No matter who you are or how much hair you have, there will always be a market and a want for content with all sorts of hair variations. Personally, I don’t mind and even enjoy a bit of hair IRL on my partner or even when I am consuming content. I am a lot more comfortable (especially in those colder months!) when I have a little extra insulation. The one thing I make sure to do to keep it nice and soft, however, is to keep it trimmed to a length I like and not apply any products or moisturizers in that area. It has taken me many years to come to the conclusion that as far as products go, the fewer products you use, the better off you are. This may, however, not be the case for everyone! Hair on different parts of your body requires different care and products, of course! But specifically down in the nether region, I never add anything that will weigh that hair down and possibly make it feel brittle.

As far as content goes, there is a HUGE market for unshaven parts to be featured in! Pits, legs and other areas, you name it! A long time ago, I used to play this game in my cam room called “Save or shave”, which is exactly as it sounds. Members would vote on whether we let the bush stay or not. There was an instance where “Save” won for six consecutive months. (Yes, six months worth of bush in all its 70s glory!) and the response I generally got from members was phenomenal! People loved the big ol’ bush! Now, this isn’t something I would keep on a regular basis; however, my experience when having it was much better than expected. So, if you are looking for a way to mix things up, give that a try!

At the end of the day, you need to do what you want to do and what will make you happy. Maybe a landing strip is the perfect amount of hair for you, or maybe going completely bald is the way to go; whatever you pick, own it! If a member begs you to shave or let your hair grow, don’t let them pressure you into doing something you don’t want to do. I have a member who is really into armpit hair (Not the typical kind of content I make) who begged for a month for me to grow out my hair. This isn’t something I wanted to do during the prime hot summer months. It is ok to say no! If you are looking for some new content to make, doing a quick search around for inspiration is always a blast and can be a great stem for new ideas. Just keep in mind that if you have glitter stuck in your hair, a little stubble or a full-blown bush situation happening, there will always be someone looking for the content you are producing, and there is a market for everything. Show off that heart-shaped patch! Run your fingers through his chest hair! Do whatever makes you happy and proud; you got this!
